Founded in 2015, Wayland Dads is a community-building group for Dads, families, and our children. We started by running Saturday morning Loker gym Dad & Kids Drop-ins over the winter and evolved into a host of events and causes.

We organize events such as our very popular bi-annual Sandy Burr Golf Tournaments, poker nights, a Mount Sunapee Wayland Ski Day, the occasional fishing trip, and the all-important babysitting at Town Meeting. Parents with young kids can have a voice on the issues that impact all of us. Our group is also motivated by local town politics and getting parents involved in the Wayland all-volunteer local government and Annual Town Meeting.  It’s all volunteer-driven by the Dads of Wayland.

Father’s Day weekend is a big deal for us - we kick it off on the Friday with the Wayland Dads Golf Tourney at Sandy Burr, and pre covid we’d worked with the Recreation Department to run the very popular Dad & Me Camp Out.

The first step in getting involved is signing up for our semi-regular newsletter. We’ll then keep you posted on our events and the issues parents in Wayland care about.

Leaders Wanted

As we prepare for the 2024 Town Elections and Town Meeting there are important committees where we need parents with young kids involved. Wayland Dads is committed to bringing together the leaders of our community to help invest in our community.
